Hey, all you Big Diff folk out there!
 

After 11 years doing business It was with great sadness and mixed emotions that The Big Difference announced its decision to go out of business.

We are able to reflect back on the past decade plus with great pride and
satisfaction. When we began in 1992, we felt like true pioneers. There was not much out there for big people and their admirers.  We were happy to provide a safe and sane, as well as a classy environment, for a badly discriminated against group of people in this country.  We were instrumental in playing a key role for hundreds of people meeting each other, dating, marrying, establishing long-term relationships and many enduring friendships.  We were delighted to assist in the development of many small businesses catering to the needs of the large-sized community.  We had a blast running The Big Difference.
 

We leave with mixed emotions.  When we started, we were almost the only game in town.  We were always in the business to go out of business. Once you met that special someone, many of you felt that you no longer needed The Big Difference and stopped coming. This is a changing world and we are happy that there are alternatives available out there for you.  We definitely feel that The Big Difference has played a major role in society's awareness and greater acceptance of the large-sized world of people. 

We are leaving on a positive note and with a feeling of great satisfaction and achievement.  Sadly, we can no longer continue to bring you the quality events that The Big Difference is noted for.  Our fixed overhead expenses are simply too burdensome to maintain any longer.  We thank you for your support over the years.  Not seeing our Big Diff friends and family on a
regular basis will leave a great void in our hearts.  We will miss you deeply.
